Catarina has always enjoyed acting and has developed a particular love for Shakespeare, Ensemble-Driven works, and Musical Theater.. Most recently she was an Acting Apprentice at the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company. There, she continued her Shakespeare training and had the opportunity to play the beloved role of Falstaff in Henry IV Part 1.
She graduated Cum Laude from UMass Amherst with a B.A. in Theater and Portuguese in 2023. Her senior year, she received the Community Award from the Department of Theater for her dedication to the arts. Upon graduation, she participated in the renowned British American Drama Academy: Midsummer in Oxford program in Oxford, England where she worked with some of the leading actors in England working on her craft.
Growing up in Newton, MA – she was heavily involved in Newton South Stage at Newton South HS. Having a passion for both on and offstage, she worked on 22 shows throughout her high school career and received the Theater Award her senior year.
She is also a proud Alum of Weston Drama Workshop where she was in Pippin, Billy Elliot the Musical, The Curious Incident of the Dog and the Nighttime, and Legally Blonde the Musical.
